As you may remember from 5765's High Holy Day services I am a devotee to the writings of Bernard-Henri Levy (BHL to his many fans), the iconoclastic French Jewish Writer philosopher extraordinaire. BHL for me stands for a broad humane cosmopolitan Jewishness that is not bounded by the boxes of tradition or faith but it is also not antagonistic to such words. Most of all BHL is engaged.
