thank you for pointing out this article from the economist.
i have seen some of yossi vardi's tzedakah work firsthand (as well as his business investments).
people like yossi and others who invest in both business capital and social capital are rare - but i work closely with several of them.
it is such a pleasure to see these giants of the corporate world getting involved in tzedakah, hessed, tikkun olam, etc.
and they have told me that it is among the most important things they do.
my work - representing these philanthropists and family foundations, and their tzedakah interests in israel - allows me to see the direct and wonderful impact their tzedakah work has, both on the recipients and on the donors themselves as well.
